EdTech Austria Fellowship

In a nutshell

The four-month Fellowship Program supports EdTech enthusiasts in developing innovations in the field of educational technology in Austria, as well as in their initial testing and validation. It serves as an add-on to existing (pre-)incubation programs, helping you prepare your products in the best possible way for entering the education market.

Key Facts

  • Four-month fellowship program – next start in February 2026
  • For EdTech enthusiasts or early-stage startups with an initial business idea
  • Program combining an in-person kick-off event, online modules, peer-learning formats, and a final event at the EdTech Austria Summit
  • Individual support from a coach, the program manager, and experienced mentors
  • Participation is free of charge, and EdTech Austria does not take any equity
  • The program is implemented by EdTech Austria and funded by the Federal Ministry for Economy, Energy and Tourism (BMWET)

Pogram Structure

The fellowship is built on four pillars:

EdTech Know-how: In the online modules, our experts provide you with essential knowledge about the education market, the EdTech ecosystem, innovation and trends in the EdTech sector, pedagogical models, product–market fit, and more.

Mentoring & Coaching: Mentoring connects you with experienced EdTech professionals and leaders who support you with their expertise, networks, critical perspectives, and motivation. Your shared goal: to bring your EdTech ideas to life. Our EdTech coaches work with you individually over the course of four months as you apply the workshop content, take strategic and operational steps in your business development, and grow personally.

Peer Learning: Learning with and from each other is at the core of the EdTech Fellowship. In regular exchange formats, you can support one another, discuss current challenges, receive feedback, and build valuable connections.

Testing & Validation: Test your educational innovation and receive valuable feedback from users. Potential cooperation partners include companies, educational institutions, teachers, students, and research organizations.
